Equator

Last nights crossing the equator ceremony was interesting. Due to it being a formal night and our late dinner time, we both missed the main part of the ceremony. When we arrived, all that was happening was people throwing food at each other. Due to how slippery the deck was with the various food stuff and water that was being tossed around, it was in veritable that someone would get hurt. Unfortunately someone slipped over and looked to have hurt themselves – it looked quite nasty as they were taken away by the ships medical team on a stretcher and in a neck brace.

On a brighter note, we ended up entering the northern hemisphere at around 4:30pm . Very exciting. Even more exciting, we each got a certificate congratulating us on crossing the equator.

Today in the craft session we made paper cranes. Unlike my previous attempt at a puff ball thingy, my attempt at folding a paper crane wasn't half bad and actually looked like what it should have looked like.

In our last session of the progressive trivia competition, we ended up getting a respectable 12/20. We think our overall score should be in the high 90s at least and would be chuffed if we got greater than 100. The winning team got something like 125 and they were serious.

Fun fact:
For each of the progressive trivia rounds, the answer to one of the 20 questions always included a reference to 'wine’.
