The fallout

At Sea, Ash Sharqiyah, Oman
In light of the illness, we both attended and put in 100% at Zumba and made sure we were fully functional at trivia. Mum also made sure she attended choir practice.

Due my absence yesterday, my presence at trivia was met with both relief and questioning looks . Once it had been established that I was not one of the infected ones, we began our trivia session (respectable score of 11/21).

Since I had not played Bingo since before Brisbane, I opted to spend up big and go for the 6 game + jackpot bonus pack. Sadly I did not win the $2400 jackpot as frustratingly I needed two more numbers in several of my games. *sad face*.

Mum decided to brave the pool for a refreshing swim. I will monitor her health over the coming hours to see if she has now been infected (although with the amount of the water testing done, this is extremely unlikely).

As tonight is the last night for those leaving us in Dubai, at the completion of dinner is the Baked Alaska parade. Our assistant waiter (Abdul) is in the parade so we are excited for him, as it our waiter (Dom). A Baked Alaska is like a Bombe Alaska without the open flame.

Fun fact:
Today we have two:
– Frank Sinatra paid $240k to people who kidnapped his son.
– A group of foxes is called a Skulk.
