Someone closed the doors

At Sea, International
Another sea day, another day with Mum out of action, another Zumba class. Throughout most of the cruise, there has been some underlying tension between people who do the regular Zumba class and the people who like to turn up early to get their preferred trivia seat – because they are coming in before the class has finished, they are getting underfoot and are causing safety issues.

Unfortunately as time has gone by, some of the interactions between various people has deteriorated and there has been some threatening behaviour towards people doing the exercise class .

Well it would appear that someone higher up in the food chain has taken action.

During this morning's Zumba class, members of the crew shut the doors to the theatre and refused to let people in before we had finished the class. We had no idea what was happening, the only thing we knew what that we weren’t being inundated by people trying to save their seats while we were trying to finish our class.

To say that the people waiting outside were angry would be an understatement. I think there were a couple of people who were on the verge of blowing an artery or giving themselves a stroke. They were so angry that they were refusing to make any space to let us get out of the theatre and while I wasn’t jostled too much, it wasn’t exactly a pleasant experience.

The rest of the day was rather uneventful.

Glenn blames the ectoplasms of the Bounty mutineers for the bad vibes between ship mates. Can only get ruffer ruffer as Pitcairn gets closer.
