At Sea, French Polynesia
Given that the sickness is still hanging around and we get to touch dry land tomorrow, today was a bit of a right off.

Other than showing my face at the buffet for breakfast, the remainder of the day was pretty much spent watching TV while tucked up in bed – there were a couple of weird shows on TV and an eclectic mix of movies.

As Mum was feeling much better, she restarted her normal sea day activities and no doubt spent the day fielding questions about her health and my status.

After spending the day in the sanctuary of the room and not wanting to exert myself by having to socialise at the restaurant, we had dinner up at the buffet.

Being out and about made me tired, so it was an early night. Everyone seems very excited to be almost be able to see land and to be so close to actually touching it.

Fun fact:
Cabin fever – idiomatic term, first recorded in 1918, for a claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a person or group is isolated and/or shut in a small space, with nothing to do for an extended period. Cabin fever describes the extreme irritability and restlessness a person may feel in these situations.
