Another early start, we arrived here at 5-30am after a very shaky flight and seemed to taxi for an eternity before we stopped. Kuala Lumpur airport is massive and very smart. Lots of designers shops and very jewellery on sale. Sadly lots are only just starting to open!!!
So here we sit drinking coffee in Starbucks and waiting: travel days are like that!
The departures board has just told us that our flight out to Sydney has been delayed by 30mins so there's nothing much to do but wait .
Eventually it's time to board and the queues are horrendous, as are the security checks; everyone is searched and every piece of hand luggage x-rayed. Quite a slow process when some of our fellow travellers had about half a dozen bags!!! Further delays as they decided to add passengers and luggage from another flight too! It's now quite frustrating, but a half hour late we eventually did take off.
Film, meal, sleep and we were almost there. The time has got quite quickly really and this flight was much more comfortable.
9-00pm and at last we have arrived in Sydney. Entry formalities over we were soon speeding through Sydney and to our accommodation and new home for the next few days. Also to meet up with Laurie and Mike.
The next stage of our adventure is about to begin!
