Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
Lazy start today, as it's a free day so no rush to do anything til we're ready.
Decided to walk into town to look around the shops and buildings . The architecture in this city is really lovely with a mix of old, well Nineteenth Century, and sleek modern designs.Really pleased to see that the piggies were still in the mall too. They still attract lots of attention from shoppers, especially the tiny ones!
For a Sunday there were quite a few people about especially around the middle of the day when all the shops opened!
Having spent the morning window shopping and with a little retail therapy, it was time for a change of activity.
This afternoon was spent walking along the banks of the Torrens River and the local park. It was a pleasantly warm afternoon and the river looked really lovely, so many greens and yellows in the trees and plants on its banks. There was a weir, a fountain and lots of ducks too.
Surprise, surprise on the river was a pelican, swimming around and enjoying the sunshine!
We were supposed to see loads of them yesterday but better late than never!
There was also the Bunyip trail, a nature trail through the bush which tells the story the Bunyip while encouraging children to observe and think about their surroundings. The story and illustrations were amazing, such a clever idea.
The afternoon was rounded off with quiet drink, very pleasant.
