An interesting day today starting with Laurie going off to get her hair done. Mikey and I went off to do some mooching about and a little retail therapy. We found several places we had not visited before and as a result I found the shorts I've been looking for, for some time. Great!
Laurie' hair looks lovely, she has lots of pale pink no purple sections; very effective .
This afternoon we walked up to the Botanical gardens, it was far less hot than the last time we did that walk.
It's a quiet place, away from the sounds of the traffic, really well set out with large varieties of plants, plant houses and sculptures.
Sadly there were no water lilies in the Amazonian ponds as it's the wrong time of year. We did get a shower however in the rainforest house as the regular humidifier system cut in and sprayed mists of water into the air and onto us!! Lucky it was a warm day.
Our stroll was very pleasant, the dahlia beds were very impressive and we spent some time in the cactus and succulent garden admiring enormous plants that are usually only small house plants at home.
It was a very pleasant day, sadly our last in Adelaide as we move on to morrow.
