Travelling on; flood avoidance strategy!!

Albany, Western Australia, Australia
On the road again today as Britz have arranged for us to get our electrics repaired at Albany and we need to be there by 4-00.
We had heard that there had been bad flooding in area and had already had to change our travel plans once . It wasn't long before there was evidence of what had been happening. Fields and farm land at the side of the road were underwater in places and there were some country roads we travelled had been flooded or still had some water on the road. Our journey was slower in these places than we had hoped it would be. Still the scenery soon changed and we were treated to beautiful views of coloured lakes - amazing shades of pink and purple stretching for miles along the road. Stops today are going to have to be brief if we are to make our Albany appointment and not have to delay the journey too much.
The landscape was varied, farm land, open stretches of nothing, then interesting towns and mountains were passed and a note made that this was an area to visit more slowly another time.
Eventually we arrived at Albany and were able to find out caravan dealers, the staff were very kind and soon contacted an electrician who will fix the RV tomorrow. Excellent.
Home for tonight will be the Emu Point Holiday Park, very nice it is too even if I did get soaked by the sprinklers seeing Mikey into our parking spot!!
Tomorrow perhaps we can get the RV fixed early and do some exploring.
