Moving on to Coral Bay.

Coral Bay, Western Australia, Australia
We needed an early start today as our journey was quite long, by 8-30 we were on the road sadly seeing the last of Monkey Mia. We'd had a great time here but we have great expectations of our next destination - Coral Bay.
The roads were long and straight for the most part of the journey, only the vegetation and the colours of the soil changed as we drove along . The rich reds giving way to orange and almost peach colours, while some areas has short scrub plants and some taller trees. Again road signs promised animals and of course they were all asleep. We did see an emu quite early on this morning but unlike the pair that strut so majestically around Monkey Mia, this one rapidly moved for cover even before the camera had finished working! Later there were three enormous vulture type birds at the side of the road observing road kill. Sadly there is quite a lot on these roads, scared by the headlights on oncoming traffic nocturnal animals just stop in the road totally disoriented. Poor things.
We arrived at our home for the next two nights 'Peoples caravan park', strange name, nice place mid afternoon. We are across the road from the beach so the views are stunning, the site itself very retro and '70's so we are quite at home. A strange situation, as there is a water shortage all water for drinking, washing up etc has to be collected and brought to the van,we can't fill up the RV from the water supply as we do everywhere else we will have to wait til we move on to do that!
Tomorrow we explore Coral Bay, quite exciting!!
