Back to Perth via the Pinnacles Desert.

Perth, Western Australia, Australia
Final day of travelling today back to where it all began in Perth.
Up and out quite early this morning as there was a fair amount of fiddling to be done with the van . Geraldton was probably one of the few places on this trip I was not sad to leave, probably because we found it rather a disappoint after all the other places we visited on the North coast. The journey down was really pleasant, scenery and places soon became familiar after the first trip. We had decided to leave one spectacular sight until the end of our trip, the amazing Pinnacles Desert. Having had a Peak on our stay in Cervantes we were not disappointed; endless stretches of desert with the most amazing limestone structures, so many different shapes and sizes. No one really knows how these phenomena occurred, they are just one more mystery of this amazing country. So much to see and so many different responses to this environment, the structures certainly brought out the imagination in so many visitors as they responded to these strange phenomena. We really enjoyed our time here and would visit again.
On the road again and further south to Perth and our last night in Oz. Boo!
One last stop at the Yanchap National Park to treat ourselves to some T shirts we had seen last time. Retail therapy and some amazing birds were a real reward. Sadly no Kangaroos or koalas this time.
Back to Perth and our last night in Oz. Nice camp site close to the Britz centre and the airport. Last night spent preparing for an early exit tomorrow but a God meal and some Ozzie wine did cheer us up a little.
