Well, day one of our trip is finally here. We left the cold of Winnipeg @ 8am this morning, where the temperature was -2,(thank you Mark for the ride to the airport), and arrived in sunny Vancouver at 9am, where the temperature had jumped to +6. My cousin Bill picked us up at the airport then he and his significant other, Debra(or Dear to him), cooked us breakfast.
We then proceeded down to Granville Island, did a little shopping and stopped for fish and chips at a nice little outdoor, well, fish and chip place(called 'Go Fish').
For the rest of the day, we pretty much just vegged, watched some television, threw the pigskin around for a while (undoubtedly causing much future arm and shoulder pain), and had a BBQ(Bill and Debra again), before settling down to a few movies.
For tomorrow, we have to go the the travel agency that we booked our Japan Rail passes through, and have them re-issued, as they have spelled both Eve's and my name wrong on our vouchers. Then it is to the airport for our departure to Japan at 13:30.
