Souvala, Central Greece, Greece

Today's trip is with other 50 friends and we are visiting Panagia Odigitria at the foot of Mount Parnassos near the village of Souvalla , also called Polidroso .

The company of friends and the beauty of the Greek countryside in May makes the tour so interesting and beautiful. This was one such trip that everybody enjoyed.

Our first stop was at the Monastery which is very popular with locals. The monks living here produce some products like cheese and they breed hens and chickens and sell to the round area. I bought some excellent cheese from here!

The next stop was the village of Gravia where a battle took place back in 1821. Find all the info about this battle if you are interested in the history of this place.

The restaurants or tavernas as we call them in Greek are very famous for their grilled meat, so we had lunch in one such. Even me who scarcely eats meat had some here!!

The Greek National Road 27 connects Gravia with Itea, Amfissa and Lamia . The village is located south of Lamia, northwest of Livadia and north of Amfissa and Itea.
