UNIQUE Quality ceramics!






I was walking along Zinonos street in Larnaca –a central road in the heart of Larnaca's shopping area and I was more or less window-shopping when I come across a corner shop with a beautiful collection of ceramics . It was indeed a fine work of art, exhibited in the showroom windows. The quality, design and colour made me stop and admire the collection. Then I thought to get inside.



I am impressed, I have no money on me but I thought at least to meet the creator of this fine work of art. There was a lady buying the time I got inside. The owner, Stavro was busy wrapping the piece she bought so I ask if I could take some photos until he finishes. He replies that it is fine with him.



Minutes later the lady leaves and I introduce myself, telling him that I am from Larnaca but I have been living in Greece sine 1974. I loved his work and decided to enter the shop. He asked the name of my family, and when I tell him he replies that he knows well my sister and that they are friends!

So, here I am having a nice conversation with Stavro, a person whom 5 minutes ago was completely unknown to me .He tells me that he was born in Famagusta and studied ceramics at the Istituto Statale D' Arte er La Ceramica in Faenza, Italy. The name of the Institute explains it all!!



FLAMA ARTS GALLERY is the name of his shop and it is at Zinonos Kitieos #113 in Larnaca.



His Workshop though is at AK- Nteniz 8, found in the old Turkish neighborhood.



If you happen to walk Zinonos Street, try to find this Ceramic shop. I am telling you it is worth a visit. Every single piece is unique.
