Potamitisa, Limassol, CyprusThis is one of the two entries from Potamitissa .
I am here at Ambelikos for one night only and I have along my sister. Ambelikos is an Agro Hotel in the region of Pitsilia on the Troodos range.

Any time you come up here is different from the previous. I am lucky this year to see the orchards full of ripe fruit. Potamitissa is a very small picturesque village with very few residents, and Ambelikos is on the opposite side of the hill overlooking the village.
There is a river passing through it and I love the sound of the gurgling water which can be heard throughout the near-by area.

When you decide when to go I will show you how to get there with very little money. For instance from Limassol to Platres for just a Euro.
This is how I went up there myself the previous time I was there some months ago. We can even meet and walk the trail together.

Yep , the public transport in Cyprus is the cheapest I`ve experienced . My family and I travelled from Protaras to Larnica on an intercity bus for only 10 euros . All local bus services were only one euro a time or a two euro ticket that meant you could use the bus servive all day and night and make as many journeys as you wish : now that is cheap !
I would love to do the walk with you in that wonderful wilderness . I hope to be there in early Summer , using my friends suzanna`s Hotel Amore in Protaras as my base . I can hightly recomment this hotel . Its cheap , 60 euros a night in high season , good basic greek cypriot food , an a host who loves to chat and share her experiences with her guests . I fell in love with dear Cypus on my first visit . I can`t wait to be there again .

Geoffrey was telling me that it was a family hotel, and I will surely go there in spring, but wait until you see the hotel I have already been to and read my comments and see the many beautiful photos....coming soon! And I will surely expect comments from that entry as well...
