The Greek/Cypriot theme night!

Throughout dining there is live music of popular classic ballads . I know every piece and there are times when I am even moved with the words of some songs.

I am sitting very close to the beach to the other end of the buffet next to the pathway which is now crowded. Passers cast a glance as they walk pass by.

Music stops for a short break and 4 members of a dancing group show up at the other end of where I am sitting in Cypriot Traditional costumes. Wow! Will there be dancing as well? What a nice surprise!

In seconds I am up and I approach the group.

They tell me that they are to present on stage tonight the most popular Cypriot and Greek dance. They belong to the Karotseri Dancing Group from Aradipou, -a village in the district of Larnaca. This specific group is well known throughout the island.

I take a few pictures with them and I return to my table to enjoy them . I only wish my sister were here!

As soon as the dancing starts I leave the table and I find a better seat exactly opposite the dance floor.

Time goes on and tourists get more and more excited but I am also so excited myself that when the presentation of the different dances is over I am the very first to join in and with the group we dance through the whole restaurant urging tourists to join us in this dancing parade. The whole show is fantastic -beyond my expectations and one of the best I have ever seen taking place in hotels.

If you wonder if my sister joined me after all, well yes she did just the moment the dancing was over. She showed up so exhausted! She did have her dinner the same time I was having my dessert.

She was so unlucky today missing the whole day and I am afraid she won't be with me the whole day tomorrow as well. It is the weekend and she has so much to do. At least she will come and spend the night with me. Let’s see.
