DINNER AT ZIA VILLAGE - OROMEDON RESTAURANT

We are advised to visit ZIA which is the best place to see the sun setting from up there .

The village is very picturesque and its full of tavernas and souvenir shops.

Zia is found a bit higher on the hill of Dikaios.

We are advised to visit a traditional Taverna there called OROMEDON.

It is a roof garden with a panoramic view.

The people up there indeed know how to please their guests.

Many famous people have dined here, even President Clinton, many singers, and artists worldwide. The secret of this taverna besides its panoramic view is the logical price list of the different dishes. We met Mrs. Meropi - the old lady who prepares everything - well known in the whole area! The taverna was awarded with a special prize in Italy in 2005.

Here in this taverna we have the chance to order a combination of different dishes like (meze).

The waiters as well as the owner whose name is Nico are so helpful and this first night we relied completely on them to tell us what to eat.

We feel great up in this traditional taverna tonight. We enjoy our dinner waiting for the sunset.

At 8.20pm the sun sets behind the mountains and you can see every customer with a photo in his hand trying to take as many pictures as possible.

We are having a great time up here tonight, and we have decided to come again on Saturday night.
