Walking in the streets of Athens

Four days in Athens and I feel as if I have visited this city for the first time .

My mood today is great and I am out in the streets of Athens walking just like a tourist!

There are many tourists visiting Athens this time of year. They seem to be enjoying it and I try to listen to what some of them say as much as I can.

There was one time though I really wanted to interfere and help, but then I thought not to say a word.

While walking I saw tourists enjoying their lunch under the shade of tall green trees in the old city of Athens – Plaka.

I saw a young couple having some meat balls in their plate which were completely burnt. I see them looking at them but going on eating them.

We should deny having things of bad quality brought to us in the first place, and either leave or wait for another dish to come . Probably this couple had no idea what they should have done!!!

I have also been helpful to couples who were trying to take pictures of each other. Because I face the same problem when abroad with my husband, I offered to help and take them a photo so that both of them would be in it.

I smiled a couple of times when I saw one or two Chinese guys holding the camera just in front of their face and trying to take a photo of themselves and the background. – No, here I did not help!
