Carrying on Northwards, to the peninsula of Erisos, we cross wonderful mountainous villages until we reach the most picturesque of them off

This is Fiscardo, the artistic village with its traditional style. It once used to be a small fishing village bearing the remnants of old nobility, with narrow small streets, old traditional, conserved houses with small balconies and beautiful flowers, which date back to the 18th Century.

Luxurious yachts are moored at the pier of its small port among the villagers' boats and fishing caiques, in front of numerous tourist shops, taverns and bars.

The Byzantine church with the representation of Dioscouri in relief and a cavity in the rock known as "Queen Fiscarda’s throne" as well as the Roman cemetery, are counted among the poles of attraction in the village.

Returning from the northern part of the island and following the eastern road, you will experience the authenticity of the old Kefallonian simple lifestyle, as you are going through mountainous traditional villages that have thick evergreen vegetation and give one the opportunity of having a look at seafaring, much afflicted Ulysses’ Ithaca to the east.

Following this route we come to the historic Monastery of Themata, dedicated to Virgin Mary, situated on the top of a densely vegetated hill.
