The Folklore Museum of Kymi is a Must Visit!

 


It is housed in a third storey of a beautiful neoclassical building of the previous century .

 

Upstairs the visitor can see a presentation of an old house of Kymi. Embroideries, costumes, uniforms, wood carvings and jewelery.

 
The 'urban corner' a room exclusively with household utensils, a library with files and videos, a loom and weaving are on another floor. Documents and photographs from Kymi and the life of George Papanikolaou.

 

At the basement visitor see the construction of wax, the laundry place with the traditional underpass, the cellar equipped with several agricultural tools.

 
Interesting cultural events take place once in a while at the outdoor circular theatre found in the garden of the museum which can host up to 250 visitors.
