A few lines about Michalis Pourgourides

Michali is a well-known Professional Music Producer in Cyprus with many awards and accolades .


At regular intervals he teams up with many Greek artists in concert productions and thematic musical events, -a few to mention are Koutra, Papas, Chalkias, Lekka, Andreatos and several more.
 
He has been working with Radio Channel Six since 1992.







 

A Particular and Special Greek Guitar Night:

 
Exceptionally this first night that I am in Omodos Michali is invited by Stavros, to play and sing for the 'lucky ones' who are dining that evening. 

 
In a way, it is a special gesture for me that night from Stavros, so as to get the feeling and atmosphere of a Live Guitar performance at his restaurant .



On short notice and on a day that Michali is free to rest, he does it selflessly and with pleasure he comes to Omodos to perform that evening .

His song list is enriched with varied types of songs and his vocal tunes and playing is great.

All we who are present that night, joined in the singing….and it was such fun!

What a memorable night to remember!





The two songs are favourite of mine.

A very popular Cypriot traditional song – Psindri Vasilitzia mou.

The second is from Alkinoos Ioannides, a Greek-Cypriot composer, lyricist, singer and orchestrator . –O Proskinitis.
