Omodos, Limassol, CyprusI Was So Moved Visiting It!
During my visit to the Monastery I came across the hall that is used for the housing of the National Struggle Museum .
I had no idea that such significant museum is housed in one of the many rooms of the courtyard of the Monastery and in a way it was a nice surprise for me.
I am always moved when I visit such spots but I never expected to be moved to tears that much and when some tourists dropped by and asked a question I couldn't hide my emotions.
During my visit, I had the time to myself to see in detail all exhibits, some of the heroes' clothes and belongings but also read about the background of several of them.
EOKA:
The EOKA struggle started on April 1st 1955 - February of 1959.
If you ever visit the Monastery of the Holy Cross, drop by this interesting Museum. You won't be disappointed and entrance is free.
