The Highest Standards of Quality and Top notch Service!

The Rialto is a boutique retreat housed in a restored turn-of-the-century property with 44 guest rooms with interiors deriving from Viennese, African, Belgian and British traditions and influences. It is an exceptional property that stands out in character and I was so happy to repeat my visit. How could I do otherwise since I had only positive memories from my last stay a year back! The first two nights in Warsaw and this time on my own, but felt I was surrounded with a bunch of friends.

It happens to be the first boutique hotel in Warsaw, established back in 2003 with roots to the best architectural and artistic traditions of the old Warsaw interiors. The exterior is also just as impressive.

CHECK-IN: Greeted warmly, familiar faces and friendly smiles. It did not take more than two or three minutes to check-in and get to the suite. I was even offered to be accompanied to the room but being acquainted with the interior it was easy to do it myself.

STAFF / SERVICE:
Top notch! The entire team are a bunch of professionals. Individuals are served in a unique way thus one more reason to return. The team works on the least detail for the comfort of their guests. In fact, when the time came for me to check-out the feeling was that of leaving behind friends .

LOCATION: Could not be better. So conveniently located close to the central railway station and the historic old city. Everything a visitor needs is in short proximity and at the same time in a quiet neighbourhood with shops and restaurants close by.

STYLE AND AMBIENCE: Once in a while I love staying in hotels similar to Rialto, a hotel whose rich woods and Art Deco-style accents evoke the understated charm of Warsaw in the 1900s. The style is reflected throughout the premises with original furniture of that period and exclusive pieces collected from different countries especially for this purpose. I find the feeling of such stay inspiring.

Amenities, fixtures and fittings are of high quality and guests who appreciate staying in such unique hotels can enjoy memorable and relaxing stays, counting in of course the friendliness and professionalism of the staff as well. With this super combination and the many repeaters, nothing can go wrong so I believe it justly deserves its ranking .

As a hotel-advisor I grab every opportunity when I can, to have a chat with guests. None of the two businessmen I chatted with, or the couple coming from Europe had something negative to say. The first, mentioned that it was their 4th stay, while the couple stated that they would definitely be back.

ROOM: The corner suite on the fourth floor was identical to the one I had last year, like a small apartment.

Well equipped with amenities tailored to today's travelers. As a person who spends a quarter of a year in hotels I am always after space and there was plenty out here. Quiet and relaxing interior with high-tech amenities but with antique pieces like Jean Perzel lamps as well. The blinds in the bedroom were missing last year and it was the only negative I commented about on my last review. To be honest, it was the first thing I checked upon entering the suite, and with relief I noticed that they have been installed .

The comfortable sitting room with a working desk and a complete set of fixtures and fittings with different details here and there create the unique classic ambience.

The King size bed, all to myself, assured a goodnight’s sleep.

Fruit platters and water –the complimentary treat were highly appreciated. After the 7 hours trip from Zakopane to Warsaw, the freshly-cut fruit were indeed what I needed. Cool watermelon, a bowl of strawberries and grapes, -what more could I expect!

BATHROOM: The highlight of the suite is the dreamy bathroom perhaps, elegant and impressive exactly like the one I had a year back. I loved the classic freestanding bathtub but aromatic salt for the bathtub is not provided. In my case I had plenty of Cranberry Bath salt brought with me from last year’s visit to Wieliczka Mine. It was given to me as gift from the tourism bureau together with other interesting souvenirs and I used it twice while here .

WI FI: Complimentary and fast throughout the premises.

FITNESS: Although I had the intention to get to the fitness centre even for once this time, yet I took advantage of my free time to be outdoors and explore the beautiful city instead. Guests though can use the sauna, the steam and gym rooms but also with sporting gear and shoes provided they can enjoy a walk or run in the Lazienki Park which is not far from the hotel.

BREAKFAST: The best and most significant part of the day starts with QUALITY Breakfast …written in capitals. This is exactly what the hotel provides – a classy breakfast you will hardly find elsewhere. The menu list has plenty of choices served directly at your table after you decide what to have. I won’t expand with more …you have to experience it yourselves!

BAR: Inspired by the Great Gatsby and reflecting the Art Deco characteristic style the bar recalls the roaring twenties in pre-war capital living

What I describe is the feeling I got when I walked by to get to the restaurant, however I did not get to the bar neither for a cocktail nor for a non-alcoholic beverage this time.

RESTAURANT: 'Salto’ one of the most popular restaurants in Warsaw, offers fine dining by winner of culinary contest Top Chef, Martin Gimenez Castro. I have dined twice here and in the capacity of a Food Critic I was once again impressed. The detailed review of my dining experience is on the next entry.

CONFERENCE ROOMS: Designed exceptionally for Business breakfasts, Gala dinners or Meetings, there are two such rooms to meet the needs of business clientele, with a third one where smoking is not prohibited.

IN ALL: Not a single fault that failed to impress. The management was highly visible, active members of the team, which demonstrates an honest dedication to quality and service. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. A big ‘thank you’ to the entire team for contributing in making my stay memorable.
