My visit to the Wine Museum

As I was writing my guide on my previous trip to Cyprus and after visiting a number of wineries and followed the wine routes in both Paphos and Limassol and also up the Troodos Mountains, I discovered that the actual Wine Museum is in the village of Erimi .

So, for this reason I arranged to visit it on this trip and I can assure that it was worth it.

Using traditional and contemporary methods the museum presents a journey through centuries of the wine history of the island.

Ancient jars and vases, medieval drinking vessels and all these from the private collection of Anastasia (an acquaintance of mine from a choir) the owner of the Museum.

Photographic backdrops and audiovisual equipment bring all aspects of wine making to life, from cultivation to production.
