Cape Town, South Africa
A very full day traveling around through the South African country side.As we left Capetown, it was an eye opening experience to see kilometer after kilometer of shacks made of sheets on iron and what ever the inhabitants could find, they all seemed to have power and a lot of the shacks had a TV dish on there roof. The colour of the shacks seemed to be a rusty colour.
While driving along the Highway we could see the native workers working in groups one of them would be doing the work while the the other 4-5 would be watching on .Later in the day (2-3pm) they would be all siting under a tree.On the way to Neethlingshof estate there were cliffs coloured white and red..
Not being a great wine drinker I really was not able to notice much difference in the wine, all still wine. The estate was a very well set out and tidy with of coarse a clean winery
From there we went to JC Le Roux winery.where we had bubbly and nougat 5 glasses of different bubbly and 5 different nougat .Which I really liked the couple beside me at the table did not drink wine for some reason, so there rations were shared up by a couple of us. I really enjoyed this winery.
My sense of humor nearly got me into trouble here,I ask someone if JC Le Roux had a brother called Kanga, they could not see it at all.
From there we went for lunch at The Goat Shed where we had a three course meal I had salmon which was very tasty it was rather filling but we all manged to do justice to it .The only problem being it was outside and leaves were falling off the trees falling onto our meals (salad)!!The restaurant got it's name from the goats it had .
The lunch took longer than expected so our next stop was curtailed a little it was to be Beer tasting and Chocolate tasting but I left out the chocolate tasting, thinking the two did not go together. The beer tasting was at the Cape Brewing Co.

The Tasting was run by two happy natives which put a bit of character onto the 30 mins we were there. we were given 5 small glasses of different beer that were made in the building.the fact we arrived late meant that production had stopped. the beer them self's were all a bitter type, which after the big meal we had, was not that great.
From there we made our way home to the hotel on the bus, to our usual happy hour by the pool,no one managed to fall in and it was too cool for a swim.
Tea was our choice so I just had a light meal after the large lunch.
