4:30 AM ... alarm goes off

Last minute tasks to prepare for departure including: finishing packing the bags (man, they feel heavy but they are under the weight limit), checking on some payments on booking.com (talked to a nice customer service guy who assured me all was well), taking care of some last minute house tasks and getting a shower & dressed. And don’t forget drinking some much needed expresso ☕ď¸Â

Out the door about 7:30 AM to drive to the  Detroit-Windsor tunnel. Traffic on the highway was stop & go. Found out that there was an accident ahead so off the highway to take the side roads downtown. In short order we are at the tunnel where there are very short lines and no traffic/back-up in the tunnel. No long lines to get into Canada either. So we make it to the train station with > 30 min to spare. Train departs on time and I’m off to Toronto. 

Resting & snoozing a little.... reading a bit. About 4 hours later, I arrive at Union Station downtown Toronto @ about 1:15 PM.
