Quick Visit in Toronto

Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Arriving in Toronto to brilliant sunshine and warm air - what a treat after the very cold and wet spring we’ve enjoyed in Michigan this year. I walked across the street and up one block from Union Station to drop my rolling bag so I can walk around the streets of Toronto a little easier. I used a service through bagsaway where you book online and a business (in this case a corner convenience store) holds your bag in a secured room for a set amount of time for a small fee (8 CAD).
With a lighter load, I make my way down Front Street to St. Lawrence Market where I find some delicious food (vegetable fried rice and watermelon) for lunch. After wandering through the market, I took my watermelon to this wonderful park where I found a nice reclining chair in the shade to relax, eat my watermelon and people-watch. After a nice long rest, I wander back down the street poking into shops and other big buildings and walking through the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
After enough walking, I picked my bag up and made my way to the Union Station. I am now a little more hungry and knowing that I don’t want the airline dinner on my 9:15 PM flight, I get a salad with falafel for an early dinner. Now it’s time to catch the Union Pearson Express train to the airport. It takes 25 minutes to get to the airport from downtown Toronto. The train even has seating. Pretty nice.
