Taking the UP train from downtown Toronto was easy and quick. After arriving at Terminal 1 on the train, I had to walk a little bit to the transfer train to Terminal 3. And then I was there ready to check-in... an hour early. The AirTransat counters are way at the end so I make my way down there. They now have kiosks to print the tags for the checked luggage. The guy helping me sends me to the check-in counter to drop my bag, saying it’s not too early. So off I go to the drop desk which has zero line. Next I walk through security where there again is no line. Easy.

Happily I remember that the walk through the duty-free shop will involve a couple of tastings... what will they have today? A shot of Crown Royal Vanilla. Very nice. A couple of tastings of ice wine. Also very nice. I also spy a bottle of Tanqueray Gin Seville Orange which isn’t available in the states. Maybe there is duty-free on arrival in Toronto ?? 

My gate is B26. I’m hoping for the comfy Toronto Pearson seating but find that the B gates are old-school style regular airport seating. Also, I have to catch a bus 2 hours before the flight departure time. Hmmm? What is that all about? Will our plane be on the tarmac and we have to climb up ? Why so early then? Oh well, will have to wait. 

At 2 hours prior to departure I head downstairs to catch this bus. The bus apparently is taking us to another terminal. We drive across the tarmac and under the runway after waiting for a plane to go by. This little dinky terminal is across the way next to the big cargo plane buildings. Weird. The terminal is tiny and has a couple shops So I am waiting here to board my flight. 

On the plane, everything is normal for an Air Transat flight. I am so ready for some sleep having already had a busy day of travel. I catch some zzz before they serve dinner.  I woke so I ate the veggie pasta and a few sips of white wine. Then back down for a about four more hours of pretty decent plane sleep.
