Highbourne Cay Bahamas, Black Point, Bahamas
Good morning all another sunny day here in the Bahamas a few scattered clouds the typical weather here. The weather here ranges from 80F to 88F everyday not too hot just right, that sounds like a nursery rhyme.

We are off to Highbourne Cay a Private Island this morning staying in the marina there and will eat at the bar / restaurant I'm looking forward to that . Our soggy pizza from last night was not really wonderful but it was food, this convection / microwave oven doesn't crisp things up.

We have only 41 miles to go today and the winds are blowing but we are on the inside Exuma Bank protected from the big waves and swells so the waves will push us along nicely and they did :-) The skipper always says "It's fine...don't worry" I joke about that but you have to know Bryan is a very gifted skipper and is always thinking about the safety and comfort level of his passengers just in case you are thinking of joining us next year.

We arrived at Highbourne around 1:30 entering this marina is a bit tricky a narrow opening which they have created with a break water to protect it from the weather. I learned what range markers are used for today, you point your boat at them and that line of sight is the direction you bring the boat in...cleaver. After getting all the lines organized (a fixed dock ugh) we registered and made reservations for dinner so all set . We walked to the beach which is setup and all ready for the Marina guests it's a leisurely 15 min walk, you can use their bikes or rent a golf cart for $20 an hour or you can bring your dinghy around to it...lots of options to get there. I think it would be a fun place to bring a group they had, 2 hobby cats, kayaks, paddle boards, floaty lounges and a couple of covered cabana areas all first come first serve....lots of fun. I went for a paddle board they are really big and heavy but it was fun, no need to bring your snorkel and mask here nothing to see all sandy bottom.

Today was the day for sail boats and mega super yachts we past several huge yachts over 180 feet in length one was a private boat and a few were charters. In the marina there are sever 60 footers so again we are nestled in between the big guys.

Dinner was stunning I started with tomatoe beet salad it was perfect thanks Renn for the recommendation then I had the sea bass it was cooked to perfection and the vegetable were fresh it was such a nice treat. Bryan had grilled lobster and started with conk chowder it was also excellent. The wine was not great but that is the story down here oh well. Around 8 a large group of fancy yachters arrived looked like a family reunion of sorts, we both wondered what was their story and which mega yacht did they come off of...hmmm.

I wonderful day and evening.

Hi Heather and Bryan. What a fabulous trip you are having. Pigs, sharks, people and of course wonderful weather! The seafood sounds delicious and the trips on the waves from place to shore are all sounding perfect.
Thanks you for the great email card and of course the birthday bag! Dinner tonight at Unsworth with B+H was fun but we missed seeing Ian...next time! Enjoy your visit with Martin and continue to explore the caves and waves. Love Rob and Sue
