Marsh Harbour , Central Abaco, Bahamas
Good morning

The skipper says that the weather is looking pretty calm today so we are going to leave and make our way to Abacos . Not sure exactly if we are anchoring but I will fill you all in later :-)

Getting out of here we are not going back through the Devils Backbone which I'm pleased about I'm hoping of course for calm seas.

Well a girl can hope and dream but that dream did not turn into calm seas...the Atlantic Ocean had other plans it was a bumpy ride, I think we've been in worse or perhaps I'm just getting used to it. Leaving the protection of Harbour Island was very rocky huge swells and chop but things did settle down slightly. John unfortunately didn't love this and was a tad sea sick he got over it quickly which was great for him and managed to sleep for the trip.

First stop, Sandy Cay which is a marked dive site it was very choppy with surge but not much current so not a difficult swimming situation. The boys geared up and off they went, it was a good dive lots of coral and fish life . After there dive I went for a snorkel with Bryan it really is a large bank of coral and fish of all kinds my hight light was to see a trigger fish very unique fins, I've added a photo for you to see when they swim they flap their fins like a turtle would. Also of course because Heather is a shark magnet there was a nurse shark but he was 15 ft down and not bothering us, I still get un nerved swimming with them. We also saw 2 large turtles on the cruise today very strange to see them swimming so far off shore but there they were in over 6000ft of ocean bobbing around.

After the Dive / Snorkel we puttered over to Lynynard Cay which was only a mile or so away into a protected anchorage site and another private beach :-) We swam and paddle boarded over, John's first private Bahamian beach experience!

I cooked on board, Wahoo fish, veggies with a Edamame starter very tasty.

Long day early to bed.
