Man O War, Hope Town, Bahamas
Good morning what a wonderful morning it has been so far nice and quiet watching the sunrise just stunning. Today we are planning to get over to Hope Town Abaco but can not go in until 2PM because of tides. The plan is perhaps a workout on the beach and then find another snorkel or dive site we will see. One note about this beach the sand is much courser still very lovely but more of a brown sugar consistency not like flour must be the different shells.

I swam into shore which was about 250 metres away and John snorkelled in we did our workout in the sand it was so great to workout in the sunshine the added challenge of the sand was good too . I finished off with a swim back and some pull-ups onboard, I'm getting stronger with them but not sure I'll make my goal of unassisted ones by the trips end but we will see.

We made our way over to a small island / rock just past the Sandy Cay where the boys dove yesterday in hopes of finding another good snorkel or dive site. The boys took off in the dingy to look for coral and I made lunch, unfortunately there wasn't any really great spots so we pulled up anchor and started to explore. We ended up around the north side of Man O War Cay on the open ocean side, it was pretty rocky but the reef looked great so we dropped anchor. I stayed on board to keep an eye on things and make sure they made it back I was a bit nervous because the current was stronger there but they had not problems. The dive was good they saw lobster, barracuda and lots of fish and coral, John's goal is to get as many dives in this trip as he can so we are trying to accommodate that :-) After the dive we started back towards Hope Town arriving around 5:30 which is late to be settling into a place, the area is very very shallow and the entrance to the town is narrow so that was tricky we were down to 4ft at one point . As we entered the bay we were greeted by tons of boats too many to count all on mooring balls they were packed into this very tiny bay, they have 4 marinas but all really small and all booked up :-( We will have to make a note for next year to call ahead and book a slip and enter at high tide. The town looked really quant small victorian style buildings, from the cruising guides information they have several restaurants, small bars and shops a must do for next year.

So next question where do we stay tonight....back to Man O War Cay we went and set an anchor down in a protected place. We were all settled in just before sunset and enjoyed watching the sun drift into the ocean, i served appy's on the cockpit and we enjoyed dinner on board. Pasta, caesar salad was the menu of choice tonight.

We watched a couple of episodes of Breaking Bad we are down to the last 2 of the final season it's getting really great!
