Lets go to Chub Cay

Alice Town, Bimini, Bahamas
We are up early and of course the weather report for this morning has changed we are looking at very low winds so we are making our last long run of the trip. Heading out to Chub Cay which is 80 miles so a longer day but the sky's are grey anyway so why not be cruising.

Must run to push off .

We were about 1/3 of the way across this morning and we decided to make a course change for Great Harbour Cay it is also one of the Berry Island's only the end of the chain from Chub Cay. The water was relatively calm today small chop waves, the water is only 20ft deep for most of the trip so no big rollers to deal with. It rained off and on for most of the day, it was a good opportunity to read and rest. A note also on the weather its never really cold but cooler it was 77 to 80F today not bad for a rainy day.

We arrived around 4 it was an 8 1/2 hour day long but that's okay sometimes, I called to book a slip and to our shock their marina was full and it's full for the entire week!... so a new game plan was formulated quickly. We found some sand to set anchor in right off the entrance to the harbour so we are all tucked in here for the night. I love anchoring that's the up side to this situation very calming to hear the waves against the boat and now the rain is coming down so it really reminds me of camping only much dryer with no tent hehe.

The Berry Island sounds amazing fairly deserted but have the odd small bar and things to do. We will take the dingy in to the marina in the morning just to say we saw it and perhaps we make our back here another time. There are only 2 marina's in the Berry Islands this one and Chub Cay so we will likely make our way there tomorrow.

I'm going to make my world famous soup for dinner and watch a video.
