Great Harbour Cay, Berry Islands, Bahamas
Another 8 hour sleep, it's a very lazy life on a boat I never get this much sleep at home. We have woke up to another grey day sadly the start of this vacation has been way cooler than I would have like but warmer than home I keep telling myself :)

So what to do today ...I'm going to go for a long walk to get the body moving then a workout on the boat...I really miss my gym I knew I would and I'm sure it will get better when we are able to swim, snorkel etc.

Apparently it's pizza night on the docks today, they have such a social calendar here it's like a retirement home hehe. Tomorrow morning it's another mini boot camp in the morning. This weekend they are having a fishing tournament so there will be lots of festivities but we will likely make our way to nassau as the winds are low and the Green Bay Game is on in the evening. I think this Cay is going to really turn things around their friendly atmosphere is drawing more and more people here the economy will grow and hopefully they will be able to repair a few things like the pool and restaurants etc.

I will update you on the days adventures later.

The day was very low key, it very much reminded me of a damp camping day when I was young . I cleaned inside and Bryan clean outside, he even added some oil to all his tools to keep the rust away oh the little things you learn at the boat show. Laundry is all caught up too. I did a mini workout on the boat, and the skipper and I went for a walk in the rain and even braved the beach for short stroll in the wind and rain, it was still very beautiful but no swimming ;-( More about the island, the vegetation is low there are a few taller palm trees but many without tops so the winds definitely flow through these Islands. Hurricane Andrew was the last one to hit here and you can still see the effects. There is a golf course on the Island but would need our own clubs there is no club house any longer but 40 years ago it was booming. People still play the course so if you have your own clubs you can enjoy a round, it does look like fun and a challenge as the grass is tropical and stubby so putting would be interesting, as we walked past it we wondered who cuts it and maintains it, like a local golfing enthusiast. This would be a really fun Cay to visit even without a boat it has an air strip and flights arrive daily from Nassau, some day perhaps a VRBO is in order.

I finished book one of the trip, and we watched a video. The pizza Bryan ordered arrived on time and he said it was interesting a different tasting crust and it was huge, he has loads of it left over definitely enough for Friday as well. I made my own on Pita it was yummy.

Sounds like you and Bryan have had a great start to your trip, can't wait to be joining you! Hope the seas are calm for your travel day, perhaps the sun will come back out and you'll get a swim in.
