Great Harbour Cay, Berry Islands, Bahamas
Here we are another day in the marina, it is a very windy day guts up to 26 kts you definitely don't want to be cruising around today. Now the upside to high winds it they move clouds fast and I can see blue sky! yahoo, I'm going to the beach later for sure with my snorkel and mask in hand :-) Apparently there are huge turtles and rays to be seen the waters will be a bit bumpy so I think the go pro will stay home today there will be opportunities in calmer water for that.

So what is on the social calendar for today at the marina . They have a workout scheduled at 9 under the Gazebo I will use that as my warm up and will finish off with pull ups etc. on the boat. We will bike later to other end of the island for our snorkeling.

The internet here even with my booster is sketchy and comes and goes so no pictures are loaded for yesterday I will try and do that later. The skipper laughs at me and says I'm a slave to the Internet which is likely true but hey so is he lol.

Marjorie I tried to reply to your comments yesterday but it wouldn't work so yes we are so looking forward to your visit, can't wait! Next week at this time we will be cruising over to Spanish Wells :-))

What a lovely day we have had so far. We enjoyed a few hours of sunshine this morning and much warmer temps, the mini HIIT workout with the marina gang was fun and a great warm up. I'm doing a pull up challenge with myself today was 5, 4, 3 assited by skipper with no jumping, these pull ups are challenging by at the end of 3 months I hope to do them un assisted

We decided to grab a couple of bikes and make our way to the North tip of the Island and explore Sugar Beach and the caves there. The wind was blowing pretty hard and we had a few drops of rain which was actually rather nice, on the way there it was great because the wind was at our backs on the way back it was a grind, short steep hills with a no gear cruiser bike is a great workout. Sugar beach caves were wonderful, it was way to windy and rough to snorkel but sitting up high looking down at the crashing waves was wonderful. At the very tip of the Island the skipper found a path to the water so we forged our way through, the 1st mate was hit with a few foot scraps but nothing serious it was very pretty. Along the path we passed a very large boulder of something it wasn't rock so we are not sure on that one but I'll post a picture when I can. Oh and apparently the Island has several varieties of snakes, we had a rather large one slither across the road in front of us and yes I squealed like a small child hehe . Further on we passed a huge snake that had met it's maker and was being devoured by some fly's it was a biggie. Apparently their are Bahamian Boa's oh boy I'm happy I did not know that before I entered the jungle path hehe. We also saw some beautiful monarch butter fly's and some lovely small birds.

We made our way back to the beach near the marina and we swam briefly in the waves to say we did, the water was cool but the gentle rain washed the salt off of us. Back at the boat we showered and have enjoyed a good afternoon watching the storm above us.

When I can I'll post a photo of the small jet that went over us this morning we are on the flight path to the airport so we see this a few times a day and man do they fly low.

Time to make some Edamame beans :-) and it's tuna melt night which I will make using fresh whole wheat bread made by the locals...man this place is amazing. Tonight is movie night..."Any Given Sunday" one of my favorites.

I'll post pictures tomorrow when we get the fast internet of Atlantis Marina.
