Nassau, New Providence Island, Bahamas
Good morning

We are enjoying a slower morning start, the sky's decided to cloud up over night but it looks like it's starting to burn off but I think today will be clouds and sun we will see how that goes .

The plan is cruise back towards New Providence Island and anchor off of Rose Island along the way we will enjoy a snorkel somewhere.

After our leisurely morning of relaxation and planning the final decision was made to make our way to Rose Island which is off of New Providence. We have been trying to find a Marina to stay in for Sunday through Thursday as there is a wind storm coming what a surprise, that is the story of winter 2016 winds! The cruise over was great, very hot!

As we approached Rose Island we could see that there were boats in the bay and as we went around the corner there it was a beautiful little protected bay filled with boats of tourists having fun. There were several snorkel boats all anchored near the reefs so this is obviously the "tour" place to be. Some of them dropped people on the beach and then went to snorkel some did that in reverse, there were of course a few mega yachts as well this is the play ground of the richies as I like to call them . As I watched all the tour boats come and go I sit and think again how grateful I am to have our own boat and not have to deal with the big tour crowds.

After setting the anchor and launching the dingy we all went over for a nice long snorkel. It was pretty good a bit churned up from all the tours the coral is smaller here but there were fish to be seen which was great. Parrot fish male and female, trumpet, lots of yellow tailed snapper and so many more. Cindy and I enjoyed jumping off the boat after our snorkel that is something I've never done and it was fun! After enjoying some drying off time on the bow we decided to take a walk on the beach before cooking up some food. The dingy ride over was all good until we hit the shore, why is it that the breaking waves want to turn a dingy, I jumped off when Bryan told me too and the thing turn and Bryan fell out it was a bit of deja vu but not near as bad as last years dingy beach experience. The walk on the beach was nice it was a smaller beach but the sand was soft and slightly pink, big rocks which reminded me of home on the west coast.

Launching the dingy was all fun and games too, we dragged it back into the water Cindy and I got in and held on, Rory was next and didn't quit make it so splash in he went laughing all the way...second attempt was successful and then skipper needed to get in before the next big wave which he did and off we went. Geesh not sure I love love those dingy experiences :-)

Dinner on board was very good followed by a great game of dice.
