Happy Friday

We are off the dock early heading to Freeport it will be a rather long cruising day but the waters should be calm for most of it and then we are there . Cindy and Rory will leave from here on Sunday morning.

We enjoyed our stay on Great Harbour Cay a place where you could spend a week or so that way you could enjoy all the smaller cays surrounding it and also get in a trip to their local boutique hotel http://www.carriearl.com/index.htm this place is apparently amazing perhaps someday we will come and stay here.

The cruise to Freeport took us 7 1/2 hours so a long day on the water but most of it was relatively calm the last 5 miles or so were a bit bumpy. It was a really hot and humid day mostly over cast all day we thought about jumping in for a dip but again it was just a bit too bumpy. We enjoyed a crib match while we were cruising that was fun, the crew one this match.

After we cleaned up we went to explore the Lucaya area most of the bars and shops were closed given it was Good Friday they can't open until 6pm, so went back to the boat for a cocktail . Shortly after 6 we made our way to the skippers favorite bar for a strawberry daiquiri it didn't disappoint him or the crew they enjoyed a couple :-) I had a white wine boring but safe for a joke I took a shot of wine they serve their shots in test tubes the funniest thing.  

From there we went over to the Rum Bar for dinner not our best choice but I think everyone's burgers were ok and my salad was not great I have to say I'm sort of tired of bad food and cheep wine hehe...must be time to go home. After dinner we sat and listened to a band for a bit that was playing in the centre of the Lucaya square it's the first time I've seen entertainment there, she was a good singer but so so loud...am I getting old. The gang enjoyed an ice cream for desert. The concert ended for us as the sky's decided to open up and we ended the night with a spectacular thunder and lightening show.

It was a fun day and night.
