Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas
Good morning - Happy Easter Everyone.

Cindy and Rory leave this morning :-( this marks the end of our crew mates visits . We have successful hosted 5 groups this winter, it's been an amazing winter vacation adventure. The skipper and I are on our own now until we get home.

We hope to spend today and tomorrow at Old Bahama Bay marina then make our way over to Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday the weather / winds are looking good for our crossing.

The first 10 miles of our trip was bumpy quick waves and swells so it was a tacking sort of trip and it was hot, wow the temperatures have really changed super humid. After the first 10 miles the trip was easier as the winds were at our back so that was nice. I finished another book (thanks Cindy for bringing me one) and started another.

We were visited today by a huge manatee at the marina today, one of the boaters had their hose going and he/she was drinking it up and playing they are such an interesting mammal. Did you know that they really enjoy eating crackers too. It's unfortunate that all 3 types of manatee are becoming rare to extinct which is sad as they have been around for millions of years. Here is some interesting information on this amazing creature:
