Last Time on the Gulf Stream

Hollywood Florida, Florida, United States
Good morning

We are off the docks and on route to Ft . Lauderdale, it's 4AM and the water is a bit bumpy still but it's supposed to be only 4-5 knots and as we get closer to Florida down to 2 knots lets hope the weather forecast is right for a change.

We are back to our original marina in Hollywood Florida. When we arrive we have to rent a car and clear customs. It will be a very long day, I'm actually pretty happy this is my last time crossing the Gulf Stream :-)

I will miss the Bahama's but it's time to leave them behind and start new boating adventures in BC I'm looking forward to cruising at home.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It was a very long day but the water was calm and air was hot the whole way. We arrived at 3 so a very long cruising day we were fighting the currents of the Gulf Stream almost the whole way an only went around 6 knots ugh...can't wait to get the trim tabs fixed.

By the time we docked (which went very well I must say), checked in, taxied to the airport for a car, registered us back into the US and then stopped at the Whole foods store for dinner it was 6:30 we were exhausted.

We saw some pretty cool thunder and lightening as we arrived and also passed by a large ship which was loaded with yachts of all different sizes that will be us in a few weeks!

The marina is full we were lucky to get back in here for a few weeks.
