Day in Ft. Lauderdale ended in double OMG

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
After 4 hours sleep our limo took us to our flight to Ft. Lauderdale on Westjet. How wonderful (not) to be fed coffee, cookie or pretzels and water. Oh well, after 3 hours and a bit the weather went from 27 degrees F in Canada to 27 degrees C in USA.
Got our car, dumped our luggage in the hotel and set off to visit.
We walked and walked and walked for hours ... In Aventura Mall. We managed to get some shopping in during our walk. Chicos, Nordstrom etc.
We went for dinner to Canyon Souhwest Grill in FL where we have previously had great good.
Our starter was an enormous salad of roasted beets, goat cheese, oak lettuce ( like spring mix), candied pecans, green apple and red onion slivers with a sherry vinaigrette.
We thoroughly enjoyed a Pinot Noir by Davis Bynum from Russian River in Sonoma. WOW. A very significant red that was marvellous with both tuna and filet mignon.
The seared hunk of tuna (one inch thick and three by four inches large) was the best tuna since Hawaii. It was accompanied by wasabi mashed potatoes and ginger marinated Asian pear slices.
The best fillet mignon EVER was drizzled with a super rich flavourful gravy and accompanied by whipped goat cheese with cilantro and gently sautéed zucchini and garlic mashed potatoes.
French press coffee was accompanied by a pair of complimentary glasses of port.
Desert was ... wait for it... white chocolate bread pudding sitting on a large pool of berries caramelized on a pan with sugar and drizzled with Chambord liqueur, and lots of all of it. So wonderful it actually tasted as if it was smoked!
First time ever Minna couldn't finish her liquor, so mega chivalrous Howard answered the call of duty.
Exhausted, we directed the rental car to the Courtyard Marriott for our well earned night's sleep.
Double OMG! ( actually verbalized at the end of the meal)
