Colon, Grand Cayman, Panama
We did not plan an excursion here as we have been here and there was nothing available that was new to us.

After a relaxing breakfast we wandered off into the shopping zone at the harbour. It is an area that had about twenty shops and a large supermarket and was safe to wander throu. We were told by many who were stationed her during their military service and those who visited before that the area outside this compound was unsafe. Confirmed by those who, ventured out of this zone was that this country was like a third or fourth world nation. It was unsafe, dirty and somewhat similar to the sights and communities in the movie 'Blackhawk Down'.

Howard got a camera case for his new Canon, which he was hoping to do. The shops were for locals and visitors. The supermarket was gigantic and very clean and well stocked although not very modern. It was surely up to Canadian standards. Even the fresh meat looked very clean and proper. We were surprised at the vast variety of what was on offer, and the cost was of course not high.

We relaxed and read for the rest of the day.
