Belize City, Belize District, Belize
Today we anchored a few miles off the coast of Belize. The water here is quite brown as it is very shallow for quite a distance from shore. We were tendered in fast large catamaran ferries that carried 200 passengers to shore in twenty minutes.

We had 70 degree very heavy overcast weather with heavy showers briefly. We went ashore and walked the port shopping area. There was nothing we were interested in buying or doing. The restaurants and bars did not seem too clean, so we returned to the ship for a late lunch. Just outside the controlled tourist area it was quite poor and dilapidated. The adventure tours went quite far and wide, hut we did not do any.

Back on board we chatted with some very interesting people, as usual.
