We flew Scoot for the first time and awoke this morning to an email saying our flight had been delayed from 7.10pm to 9.20pm. No big deal, except arriving at midnight into Singapore is a bit different to arriving at 2.20am.
We had a busy day with the plumber finishing up a couple of jobs (thanks Ben) and a couple of visits from my sister and her gorgeous girls
. By the time everything was finished we jumped into the shower and headed to the airport.
Perth Airport was really busy tonight. It took ages to get through customs and then it seemed like every available seat was taken in the departure lounge. We hadn't eaten, so bought dinner, a very expensive and unappetising pizza for the Ken and the girls. I had a breakfast pie. Not bad, but not recommended.
Finally onto the plane and settled in. The seats had been cheap. I have flown many low cost carriers and have had pretty good service. This was ok. The seats seem narrower than others and the plane itself seemed noisier. We had a row of four in the rear of the plane. I managed some sleep and soon we were in Singapore.
Through customs quickly we grabbed a cab and found ourselves at the hands of a wanna-be rally driver enjoying the streets of the city at 3am. At one point he was doing 130kms. It was a quick trip!
We are staying at The Holiday Inn Express in Clark Quay. We were checked in and in our rooms, in bed and asleep very quickly. The girls have the room next door to us.
