Aguas Calientes, Sacred Valley, Peru
Wake up, like usual, around 5 am, with a cup of coca tea. The frogs were still singing! Quickly folding up the sleeping bag and mattress and empty the tent, because while we were having breakfast, pancakes!! the porters already broke up the camp. Sometimes I felt like a princess!

Today would be rather relax, more going down than up, and seeing many ruins I forgot the name of . The weather was nice, a little moment of rain but most of the time really sunny! In fact during the lunch camp we put all our wet things to dry in the sun!

It was a lovely walk, when we were up we often were in clouds, but fortunately, when reaching the "Sun Gate", it was full sunshine, so we saw the Machu Picchu in all its glory! What a special moment! We stayed there for more than an hour, and then Wilbert made us move, we still had to walk a lot to find the place to spend the night!

So we went. We saw many lovely ruins, Wilbert gave us lots of information, and down we went.

Suddenly I heard the train. I felt disappointed. There was the civilisation again!

And it would be worse, because we went down down until I saw buses and people! In fact, we changed camp ground because of these land slides, but what we just discovered is that we would spend our last night in Aguas Calientes, the village at the foot of the Machu Picchu!

I was really disappointed. Gone the frogs and the nature and the beautiful scenery! My young friends were all taking their cell phones to post pictures on their Facebook page, because finally we had a signal. They ordered beer and pisco sour and were ready for a party. Well, at least we slept dry, on the ground in a little back room of the restaurant! I joined the party a little, but I did not feel like it. I would have loved to spend another night in the middle of the nature! Still, I was happy to go to sleep!
