Rainbow pride

Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
Walked to the park adjacent to Diamond Head, magnificent panorama.  Saturday surf was pounding, peppered with numerous surfers and paddle boarders. The Main Street was congested, Hawaiian Rainbow Day.  THEY were all out in various forms of dress and undress with rainbow socks.  The parade thwarted several attempts to get transport to the cruise ship.
The Pride of American is operated by the state of Hawaii, no casino and no unlimited beverage packages.(not essential to us)
When we entered ship security, the guy in front of us took his belt off and his pants fell to the floor.  Well, that started us off hysterically.
It was a thrill to sail away at nite, Honolulu decorated with millions of lights for our departure.  Wonderful dinner, and then a great Elton John, Billy Joel tribute.  We were the only New Yorkers in the joint, mostly Australians which is surprising.
As we left we met a bartender from Florida who tells us there are Hollywood natives on board, our mission tomorrow is to seek them out.Bye Honolulu,
One image harbored in my mind are the alleys by the beach, with lines and lines of surfboards locked up just waiting patiently for their riders to realease them intothe clear turquoise waters.

Those are the biggest waves I've ever seen in Waikiki! Was there a storm out in the ocean?
