Early morning arrival at City of Sails, our last stop Auckland. The ship docks at the city center, we have just a few hours for exploration. At the waterfront we view the Sky Tower-1075 feet high. Tallest freestanding structure in the southern hemisphere. We view the city from the water on a local ferry to Devonport- minutes away. We relax at this bayside village with Mount Vittoria as its backdrop.
Title means “ desired by many” due to its natural resources and location
We head to the airport, extremely long security lines eliminate our lounge stay. Air Tahiti Nui to Papeete.
Q what was invented in Auckland.? ( hint involves postal system)
A Silver fern- when you turn it over it is a silver luminescent color. Helped natives find their way as they turned leaves over on their journey

The Stamp!!! I was close on the silver fern. Looks like a really cool city, I did not know NZ was built up like that.
