Moved to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, this massive structure has been dominating our city shots all week. Impressive, 2500 rooms, massive conventions area, celebrity chef restaurants, cafes, shops, an enclosed mall, museum, theater, atrium casino, it is mind boggling - a perfect final chapter to our stay.
We stroll to the Gardens but there is a glitch with our tickets, it is finally resolved by Din, a wonderful concierge here at the hotel. 2 hr. Delay. Late afternoon, we explore Cloud Forest, an avalanche of color cascading down from the ceiling, spectacular. The Flower Dome is next, chrysanthemums are its highlighted flower- a beautiful place to get lost in. I fear Charles is “over-pollinated” at this point, but I am enthralled and happy. Flowers will forever remind me of Singapore.
Nighttime we meet Michal at Din Tai Fung- Taiwanese food, dumplings, noodles, pork buns - all delicious We are on an epicurean expedition ( I feel like Anthony Bourdain!!!)
We head to our room to view the Skytree show, dazzling from this heightened approach. Then to the top for a nightcap. The infinity pool sits on the largest public Cantilevered (whatever that means) platform. Needless to say, I am running out of superlatives here….
Forgot to share last nights dinner at Violet Oon, located in the National Gallery- so delicious. Pictures added. Our waitress was just wonderful and laughed as they made a mistake and instead of coffee gave Charles an espresso martini- he thought it was a special Singaporean cafe……lots of laughs.

I can't decide what looks the most amazing..... the flowers, the food or my beautiful smiling friends. I am going to cast my vote for my old (and fabulous) friends. Enjoy the rest of this amazing journey. I
