After seven hours Copenhagen welcomes us with bright sunshine. We exit the baggage claim and literally bump into our friends from Sweden. They own a home across from us in Hollywood, we knew we would miss them this trip but never guessed that we'd meet at the airport. We chatted a bit they went off to catch their flight and we headed to the hotel' s shuttle.
The Bella Sky is tall, sleek and modern, two teeny twin beds, a Huge wall window with a great city view,a glass enclosed bathroom with polka dots sprayed over strategic areas for privacy, very unusual
.
I made plans with a couple I met on the cruise ship's roll call(a site where future cruisers can chat) We will see them at breakfast.
Travel glitch metro suspended, work repairs after torrential rains( sound familiar)difficulty buying tickets despite a credit card with a chip....workmen comes over and says in perfect English, Islanders or Rangers? We reply neither, New York Yankees, seems he is a big fan of a Danish hockey player, Frans Nielsen,"the best in the world"
We travel to Kongens Have (the language is undecipherable)), and meet up with a free walking tour. Three hours, we are jet lagged but enjoying our intro to this beautiful city. So many interesting sites.
Learned Bluetooth technology got its name from a king who united the tribes here centuries ago,
Learned, everyone rides a bike as cars are taxed 180 percent , Learned word HYGGE LIG which means a cozy idea or feeling. We have a really cozy feeling about this place and its friendly natives.
Calling it a night, just one final note, learned also food prices are exorbitant, stopped
for two sandwiches,beer,water. Total$45. SKOAL

Glad you enjoyed your Copenhagen visit. The amount of bike traffic at rush hour is incredible.
