Croissants, two plain, two chocolate, Charles pointed and received. His return signaled sunshine which dictated outdoor dining.
We headed to the mountains, going to Mt. Lui, the highest point, first we stopped and walked the ramparts of the largest fortress in the area. Followed this with a delicious lunch , then up,up,up , panoramic, breathtaking vistas. At the top a huge enchanting ski village,deserted.....awaiting the winter's return. Thousands upon thousands of trees shelter the countryside from the hot sun, around 82 degrees today. The air is fresh and invigorating. We head down the narrow two way road, Mick is driving , it is the reverse for him, He is excellent as the decline is full of winding turns. We head back to Ceret, tea time for the Brits, followed by 'nibbles"and wine. We then head into town for a wonderful outdoor meal in the town square, local accordion music. A wonderful day.
