At 7 a.m. There is a knock on the door, "Buon Giorno", who could this be??? I open the door and there is my son Stephen. OMG Can't believe it, he decided on Friday to surprise us in Italy. And what a surprise.(video on Facebook), we then go into the Lemon Garden for breakfast, where we laughed and laughed as Antonio the owner told us he did not want to let him in. The other owners are totally confused as they were expecting Michael and his girlfriend.
We have a delicious breakfast of fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt, fresh squeezed orange juice and then take a walk into sant'Agnello by the great blue sea . Stephen wants to jump in.....

We decide to go meet Michael's bus, the plan is for Stephen to surprise them, Michael knows but not Michelle. We go to the bus stop, and devise a plan where Stephen is sleeping on a bench and Charles pretends to kick him, Michelle is horrified at the idea and can't believe it when she sees it is Stephen(video on Facebook))

We hurry back as the plan is to go to Positano for the day but there is only one ferry left. We taxi it to the port,hop on the boat. Here is where the comedy of errors begins- we ask if it is the boat to Positano, our ticket says Positano, we tell others it is the boat to Positano. We disembark go around the town. We are getting strange info as we search for a restaurant in Positano, we cannot find the road along the Spiagga Grande, we keep seeing posters with Capri on them. Michael says to me Mom"is it possible we are on Capri". I am dumbfounded as I slowly realize, YES Michael figured it out when he asked a cab driver how much to go to Sorrento and the driver just shook his head . Charles and I thought it strange when the lady at tourist information laughed and said there were no buses, we are on an island!

The kicker is Charles and I don't like Capri and really did not want to go there. Stephen wanted to go but cancelled it as bad weather made the blue grotto inaccessible. Michelle always wanted to go. Michael didn't care. Just too funny.....

At night headed to local town , Ciao Toto run by three brothers who lived for years in Florida then returned to their homeland to open a restaurant. Excellent pastas, all enjoyed, Naples soccer game, dinner interrupted whenever they scored

Bella Notte. Such surprises, such happiness here in the motherland- no place like it... Thank you my Michael and Stephen for making it even more special

Thankful for having Michelle here on this adventure with her enthusiasm and sense of adventure




Oddities:
Stephen forgot his toothbrush, and I had put an extra new one in my suitcase(odd coincidence)

Michael kept asking me for my room number so Stephen could surprise me and I kept refusing to tell him because I knew the owners knew me..
