Up late trying to figure out where to go what to do, too many wineries for sure. This place is great ,forgot to mention they have little appetizer plates all made up in fridge plus wine out all the time(we had both before we ventured out last night . ) also fresh baked goods out all the time ( no more day old, 1/2 price for us!!!)
Three course breakfast served at tables for two in an open air dining room. Fresh berries, croissant with baked apples, chili cheese soufflé soooooo good, fresh squeezed juice
We decided to go to V . Sattui(Anthony and Megan's recommendation)winery at 11 for tour and a tasting. On the tour we became friends with a couple from Miami, we liked them immediately and spent the entire afternoon with them, the winery has a terrific food selection, we purchased sandwiches, cheeses, salads and a bottle of wine and picnicked there. We were wined out...We headed back to Candlelight, warm 86 degrees, spent late afternoon poolside. At night dined at Il Posto a little trattoria close by.
I had mentioned to Dan that I was impressed by their large fig tree, over 80 years old. When we returned this afternoon he had a plate of figs for me that he had just picked. Then when I went to the pool, Dan asked if I wanted wine, I said I was craving a sweet, he then took me in the kitchen where he'd just pulled out a tray of chocolate chip cookies. Oh my this is too much, this pampering is heavenly!
Oh dear, Two deer crossed our path as we headed in tonight

Heavenly..... What could be better? Beautiful location, delicious food, good company and your honey by your side.... Only freshly baked chocolate chip cookies could top that!

We haven't been to Napa Valley since the late 70s but loved it. Would definitely make another trip. Sounds like a great day especially the pampering.
