Breakfast: fresh fruit with agave, basil and mint, French toast with berries& vanilla cream , then a cheese soufflé with a mango topping. Too much but too good. We rolled out....
Headed to Cline winery, beautiful grounds, fish ponds, huge weeping willows, picnic area already crowded. Our tour here quick but interesting. Donkeys on property as a homage to the Italians who started the winery. Birds, small chickens too, a small museum which has elaborate miniatures of all 26 missions that dotted the coast in the late 1700's founded by Francisian priests, to bring Catholic faith to the people here especially the natives. Many of the missions have been restored and given back to the Catholic Church
We then crossed the road to their other winery. The Italian wines. Jacuzzi, yeah we laughed at the name but .....two of the sons were engineers( they'd patented the toothpick propeller and the cabin monoplane). Got diverted into creating pumps( to help a brother who had respiratory trouble) and voila created the jacuzzi.
We had a wonderful pourer , Bill shared with us the vineyard's history ,wines were delicious. Wine club a possibility
On the way back our car gps for some crazy reason diverted us to Trinity Road , a treacherous winding way that took us up to Mt Veeder and down, miles out of our way..... strange, couldn't figure out why that happened
Went downstairs and Dan one of the owners asked me to try some wine- O Neil, more guests joined us , then his cousins, then Charles .... interesting conversation, more wine We then left and met our new friends at Della Santini a wonderful trattoria in Sonoma. The owners are from Lucca one of our favorite towns in Italy. Seems that a enormous chunk of its population relocated here Great meal, more great wine

Each day sounds more interesting than the next. Is the silver object for tea bags?
